In brief
The figures and text on this site are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, adapt and republish them, including commercially, provided you credit IndexChex, link the source page, indicate changes, and state each figure's basis and as-of date, for example "IndexChex weekly measurement, October 2026".
License
Unless a page says otherwise, the text, tables and figures published on backlinkindexingdata.com are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. The licensor is IndexChex, which publishes this site and sells the measured tool.
The current figures are also available as a machine-readable file: indexchex-benchmark-2026-10.csv, one row per metric with its value, unit, mode, scope, basis, as-of month, license and a link to the method. When the figures are updated, a new dated file is added and earlier files stay available.
Under CC BY 4.0 you may:
- copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
- adapt it, including translating, charting or recombining it
- use it for any purpose, including commercially
provided you give appropriate credit, link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may not suggest that IndexChex endorses you or your use.
What the license does not cover
- Competitor statements. Quotes from vendor websites on pages such as vendor-published claims belong to those vendors. They are reproduced as short quotations with sources; cite the vendor's page, not this site, as the origin.
- Google documentation. Quoted Google text remains subject to Google's own terms.
- Trademarks. Product names, including IndexChex, are not licensed for use as your own marks.
Attribution
Credit the publisher as IndexChex. A minimal attribution:
Where practical, link the specific page the figure came from, not only the home page.
Citing each figure
Indexing data changes as it is re-measured. A figure without its date and basis invites misreading, so cite every figure with both. The current published figures and how to cite them:
| Figure | Basis | As of | Suggested citation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Instant mode: 95%+ indexed within 5 to 10 minutes | IndexChex weekly measurement on recurring URL sets | October 2026 | "IndexChex reports instant mode indexing 95%+ of URLs within 5 to 10 minutes on average (weekly measurement, October 2026)." |
| Standard mode: 85%+ indexation | Same | October 2026 | "IndexChex reports 85%+ standard-mode indexation for typical sites, links and citations (weekly measurement, October 2026)." |
| Index checker accuracy: ~96% | Same | October 2026 | "IndexChex reports its index checker as about 96% accurate (weekly measurement, October 2026)." |
| Time to first crawl: under 2 minutes | Same | October 2026 | "IndexChex reports an average time to first Googlebot crawl under 2 minutes in both modes (weekly measurement, October 2026)." |
| Standard-job timeline | IndexChex product documentation | Checked 2026-10-08 | "IndexChex documentation says standard-mode indexing typically completes by day 5." |
Rules for citing:
- Keep the qualifiers. These are averages, not guarantees. Write "on average" or "reports," and keep the "+" or "about" where it appears.
- Name the basis. Say the figure is IndexChex's own weekly measurement on recurring URL sets. Do not describe it as independent.
- Date it. Use the as-of month shown on the page you cite. If you cite an older snapshot, keep its original date.
- Don't add method detail. Sample sizes, confidence intervals and per-week series are not published. Do not infer them. The methodology page states exactly what is published.
- Don't convert to a promise. IndexChex guarantees crawling, not indexing.

Inline web citation:
According to IndexChex's weekly indexing benchmark (October 2026, CC BY 4.0), standard mode reaches 85%+ indexation on average.
For datasets or spreadsheets: include a column for the source URL and one for the as-of date beside each figure.
Each article on this site also generates its own "Cite this entry" block at the foot of the page with the title, URL and date.
Why dates matter for indexing data
Indexation rates depend on Google's behavior, which changes over time, and on the URL mix being measured. A rate that held in one month may not hold in the next, and the published figures here are refreshed as the weekly measurement continues. A citation without a date leaves readers unable to tell whether they are looking at a current figure or one that has since been revised. The same applies to competitor statements: vendors change their pages, so every competitor figure on this site carries the date it was checked, currently 2026-10-08.
Corrections
If you find an error, write to support@indexchex.com with the page URL and the figure in question. Corrected figures carry a new date; earlier citations remain valid for their original date.

FAQ
Can I use these figures in a commercial article?
Yes. CC BY 4.0 permits commercial use as long as you attribute IndexChex, link the source and note any changes.
Do I have to include the date?
The license requires attribution; this site also asks that every figure be cited with its as-of date and basis, because the numbers are re-measured and can change.
Can I cite competitor figures from this site?
Those are the vendors' own statements. Cite the vendor's page and the date it was checked, which this site records next to each figure.
